Habitat for Humanity of Tipton County, Indiana

Welcome to the Tipton County Habitat for Humanity Homepage. HfHTC has been around since 1993, providing the City of Tipton and the surrounding county with affordable home repairs for the working poor. We started our first new home in March, 1996 and had our first family moved in by Christmas, 1996. We have now built three houses and will complete our fourth by 2000. Habitat for Humanity of Tipton County also has repaired over 90 homes in the area for low income people by using volunteer labor and materials that are donated or paid for by other local charitable organizations. Our plans for 2000 include focusing our efforts on this important service to the community and taking a break from new home construction. If you would like to apply for Partner Family status for a new home please contact the office for an application and interview.

Purdue Help

Here is a picture from the local newspaper showing all of the workers from Purdue we were blessed with in September. This crew hung drywall and taped and put on first coat all in one day. We thank Purdue and their Habitat chapter and look forward to future projects together. You can reach them through their web site at expert.cc.purdue.edu/~habitat/
