 Sworn Officers Working a full shift between the hours of 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. will receive 3% shift premium per week.
 
 

      Sworn Officers will be compensated for longevity at $100.00 X number of years of service + $100.00, excluding the first three years of service.
 
 

Sworn Officers who perform the following services will be paid accordingly

Special Weapons and Tactics Team $400.00 per year
Hazardous Device Unit $400.00 per year
Field Training Officer $927.00 per year
Range Officer $250.00 per year
Radar Instructor $200.00 per year
Impact Weapons / Defensive Tactics Instructor $300.00 per year
Dog Handler $600.00 per year
Breathalyzer Test Administrator $10.00 per test
Specialist $3506.00 per year
E.V.O.C. Instructor $200.00 per year
Hostage Negotiator
$250.00 per year
Polygraph Operator
$250.00 per year

 Sworn Officers who have completed their one year probationary period will receive $1200.00 per year clothing allowance.
 
 

 Sworn Officers will be compensated at one and one half times the hourly rate of his/her base salary.
 
 

Paid Holidays--Sworn Officers will receive twelve paid Holidays per fiscal year.
Personal leave days--Sworn Officers will receive four paid personal leave days per calendar year.

1-6 years 14 working days
7-11 years 21 working days
12-15 years 28 working days
16 or more years 35 working days

         The City of Kokomo agrees to furnish a $30,000.00 life insurance policy with a $60,000.00 accidental death benefit for each employee.  The City of Kokomo agrees to pay 85% of the cost of hospital major medical, dental and preventive dental, and optical insurance with preferred provider packages with cost guard features for all Sworn Officers hired after January 1, 1994.
 
 

        The City of Kokomo agrees to comply in all respects with the Indiana State statutes covering pension benefits for Police Officers.
