PROMOTION REQUIREMENTS

White Belt - 10th Kyu
Three classes, dojo tour, bow in procedure, musubi-dachi, fudo-dachi.
Yellow Belt - 9th Kyu
All of the above, jo-dan zuki, chu-dan zuki, ge-dan zuki, jo-dan, chu-dan, ge-dan uke. Teisho, shuto, empi, riken, gyaku zuki. San-chin, shiko, zenkutsu dachi. Mae-geri, mawashi-geri, yoko-geri and ushiro geri.
Gold Belt - 8th Kyu
All of the above, Gekisai-di-ichi. Kansetsu geri, heisoku dachi. Student creed All kata terminology.
Orange Belt - 7th Kyu
All of the above, yama-zuki, haito, tate-zuki, fumikomi, morote zuki, kagi-zuki, 1 form of self-defense. 7 forms of kumite (San-dan-na-watchi-hara). Do-Jo linage and basic history.
Blue Belt - 6th Kyu
All of the above, Gekisai-di-ni, Saifa, neko ashi dachi, oi zuki, tettsui, ura zuki. 3 forms of self defense. One tournament requirement.
Green Belt - 5th Kyu
All of the above, Seiunchin, juji uke, kakiwake uke, sukui uke, soto uke, moroto uke. Ten forms of ju-kumite, hittsue geri, keage/kekomi, kake dachi, age zuki, mawashi zuki, 4 forms of self-defense. Two tournaments requirement.
Purple Belt - 4th Kyu
All of the above, Shiso-chin, Empi-sho, mae tobi-eri, mawashi tobi geri, ippon ken, namadate ippon ken, hiraken, haishu, ude uchi, 6 forms of self-defense. Four tournaments requirement.
Brown Belt - 3rd Kyu
All of the above, Bassai-dai, Sai-jitsu-ichi, tsuisho, straight line bunkai, nami ashi, kokutsu dachi, tsuruashi dachi, hangetsu dachi, sochin dachi, ippon nukite, nibon nukite, keito, kakuto, washide, 10 forms of self-defense. Six tournaments required.
Brown Belt - 2nd Kyu
All of the above, San-seiru. Nine tournaments required.
Brown Belt - 1st Kyu
All of the above, San-chin, research of history. Ten tournaments required.
